Email (SMTP) Notifications
You can set up email notifications to be sent one or more individuals or email groups. You can control the following settings:
- Types of Event—When you set up alerts, you can globally specify which alerts are sent using email. You can also specify which alert types a specific email recipient receives. For a list and description of each event type, see About Events.
- Notification Format— You can globally set the format used when sending the alert notifications. You can also customize the format for each individual email recipient. For more information on Notification Delivery Frequency, see About Notifications.
- Inline or Attachment—When sending an email notification, you can select to include the alert in the body text of the email or you can provide the alert as an attachment.
- Notification Delivery Frequency—You can globally set the delivery frequency of the alert notifications. You can also customize the delivery frequency for specific email recipients. For more information on Notification Delivery Frequency, see About Notifications.
