Customizing Email Recipient Notifications Using the CLI

You can customize many aspects of the email recipient account. This includes specifying which event types should trigger an alert notification, the frequency of alert notifications and the message format.

Prerequsites

• Admin or operator access to appliance
• Email (SMTP) server configured on appliance. See: Adding an SMTP Server Using the CLI
• The user account set up for email notifications. See: Adding Email (SMTP) Recipients Using the CLI

Custom Event Triggers

Use the following command to set the event types that will trigger an alert notification for the specified recipient:

fenotify email recipient <rname> prefer notification <eventType>

Use the following command to remove the custom event triggers:

no fenotify email recipient <rname< prefer notification
